Celebrated Kenyan soccer star Victor Mugubi Wanyama has revealed what he loves doing outside the football field.
Wanyama who is currently playing for English side Tottenham Hotspur said during an a television interview on Citizen TV that outside the soccer pitch, he loves hanging with young soccer players who he says he prefers mentoring.
"Mostly I spend time with the young kids tying to help them and when I am not with them I just relax at home chilling. Just relax not doing anything," he said during the interview.
"I also watch video games as well as TV."
Wanyama who is the first Kenyan to play for an English team said while in Europe, he prefers staying at home because of the craze of the English soccer fans.
"In Europe it is difficult. The moment you step out of the house, fans are all over you. They can't allow you to have private time. They come to you, talk to you and take photos with you. You just can't have your own time," he said.
He, however, said the situation is different in Kenya where fans are used to him.
"They just wave, say hi and it is over. They are used to us."
