She is called Ann Wambere Wanjiku, the woman who has raised interest after being reported to have received Sh60 million in the new NYS scandal.
It is said that she was paid the money for supplying nothing and walked away without answering a question.
One interesting bit is that she has never applied for a tender to supply any commodity.
Fresh details also show that she does not have an office.
“Ms Ngirita revealed that all she did was visit the NYS college in Gilgil and request a procurement officer if she could supply foodstuff. She did not say if the officer was known to her,” reported a local daily.
Already a big millionaire, Wanjiku is only 30.
She is among the 43 people interrogated by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations over disappearance of Sh9 billion from NYS.
This is the second major scandal that is hitting the NYS.
In the first scandal, many development projects in impoverished areas like Kibera were forced to come to an end after the government withheld money set aside for the devolution ministry.
