Resident political analyst on Citizen TV Professor Edward Kisiangani has revealed what will determine who becomes the next Governor for Nairobi county.Kisiangani was commenting on Thursday during Citizen TV political debate program The Opinion Court, together with Dogoreti North MP Simba Arati and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa. The analyst reiterated on the significance of Nairobi county in Kenya's politics."This election is going to be determined by two scenes the first one is ethnicity and the second one is emotion," he said.Kisiangani said that most of the aspirants in the gubernatorial race will not talk about development issues during their campaigns but will only pursue ethnic agendas."You could see when they assemble they talk about outsiders, 'Wenyeji'. It is exclusionist, a number of communities are coming together to exclude others from the center of the political equation," he added. However, Dagoreti North MP Simba Arati came to the defense of Governor Evans Kidero by stating that there is more ethnicity in Uhuru's cabinet than Kidero's."The system of the current county government of Nairobi tried to deal with the issue of ethnicity unlike in the national government where there is only one tribe or two at most," he said.Politics around the Nairobi gubernatorial race are set to heat up in the coming days following the ever increasing number of Aspirants who want to topple incumbent Governor Evans Kidero.
