[Photo/File]We are entering less than three months to the August 8, polls and it will be insane to wish for the death of either presidential candidates who have been cleared by IEBC, however, the probability of it happening maybe one.Hence it is important to understand what the law says in case of such an eventuality.According to the 2010 constitution Article 38(8)(b) the death of a presidential candidate or his deputy on or before election date will be enough reason to cancel the presidential poll.Another reason that may lead to the cancellation of the elections is when a candidate entitled to be declared in as the president dies before being declared president elect. This will lead to a new presidential election held within 60 days after the date of the previous polls.
