Kalonzo's wife, however, came to the limelight last year when she was admitted in a Germany hospital for treatment over undisclosed ailment.

The former Vice President's wife has however been ailing. In 2017 after the August 8 general election and before the October 26 repeat presidential poll, Kalonzo jetted out of the country to comfort his wife who had been admitted in Germany.
The former Vice President spent almost two months with his ailing wife and missed campaigns to the repeat presidential poll.
Kalonzo returned with his wife into the country in December last year urging Kenyans to pray for his wife who he said was recovering well.
The Wiper party leader has since remained silent on his wife’s recovery even as the 2022 succession politics takes shape.
