Well, the short wait for KCPE results is over and now it is celebration galore for the top candidates.
This year's top pupil was in the forray of those rejoicing after the results were announced by Education CS Fred Matiang'i on Tuesday morning.
But who is this top performer?
Name
Her name is Goldalyn Kakuya.
Family
Her mother is a lecturer at Kibabii University while her father is a manager at West Kenya Sugar.
School
She was a pupil at St Anne’s Junior Lubao in Kakamega County.
Performance
The 14-year-old beat 993,717 other pupils to clinch the victorious with 455 marks. She scored an A in each subject.
Her highest was English and Kiswahili where she scored 99 per cent in each. She scored 88, 85 and 84 in Science, Mathematics and Social Studies respectively.
Nature
She is a special pupil.
Future
She wants to join either Kenya High or M-Pesa Foundation Academy.
Career
She wants to pursue Psychotherapy. She says her desire for Psychology comes from the fact that she loves to talk to people and know what is on their minds.
