Anatomical condition-this has to do with the structure of the penis.

Neurogenic condition-this affects the coordination between the nerves, brain and spinal cord during intercourse.
Hormonal condition-This has to do with hormone levels responsible for erection.
A lower level of hormones can negatively affect erection and vice versa.

The psychological condition can be treated through advice from a sex therapist while physical condition can be treated with drugs such as Viagra, Levitra e.t.c
Precautions
Avoiding foods that can cause cholesterol this can affect blood flow to the penis.
Avoid too much alcohol.
Always exercise.
