At barely the age of 8, Osoro had accompanied his ailing father, a teacher by profession, to a commercial bank in Kisii in early 90s.

After withdrawing Sh16,000, the two walked to a nearby hotel to have some lunch. While talking food, the father left shortly for a long call, only to disappear to thin airs.

"He had left for a short call but lost his memory and forgot that I was with him. By the time I was through, he was nowhere to be seen.

"The hotel management was mad at me and they even contemplated giving me a beating. I was rescued by a good Samaritan," he narrated in a emotional Facebook post.

The father, he said, who was critically ill, left the town having lost his memory for home. The two would later be united after 'nasty drama'.

Osoro, 31, would later leave home for streets after his parents died in a quick succession of four months. While in streets, he would do menial jobs to pay for his education. He was elected in 2017 on a KNC ticket.
