Deputy President William Ruto was among mourners who paid their last respects to the late John Macharia, the son to Royal Media Services boss S.K. Macharia's son five days ago during his burial.
Ruto who was accompanied by opposition chief Raila Odinga to the 'invite only' ceremony eulogized the deceased by rekindled memories of his son's accident at the same spot where John died from after a horrific accident. His son's accident happened after John's death.
Ruto said John's death had taught him a lesson adding that when his own son got an accident at the same spot he "was very mad at him and questioned why he was driving during late hours".
"He narrowly escaped death but John did not. I urge the youth to drive carefully along that route," the DP said as quoted by Radio Jambo.
He, however, dod does not specify when his son was involved in the accident along Nairobi's Southern by-pass.
John Macharia perished in an accident along the Southern by-pass after the Porsche 911 he was driving in collided with a Land Cruiser along the usually busy road. He was the co-founder of Directline Assurance Company.
He died at the Karen Hospital where he had been admitted to after the grisly accident that occurred early morning.
He was buried five days ago at his Ndakaini village in Gatanga, Muranga County.
