Known for his daring attacks towards the Opposition, and strong support for the Jubilee government, National Assembly Majority Leader is being missed.
The Garissa Township MP has been silent at the national level since his Jubilee Party kicked off primaries, April 21, 2017. Before the nominations kicked off, Duale was heard saying they would be more peaceful and professional, unlike their rival, ODM's.
As he continues to be missed politically at the national level, the outspoken leader seems to be strategising on how best he will be re-elected in his constituency.
As per his social media posts, the strong president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto supporter is busy at the grassroots level.
Duale has been holding Town Hall community meetings in Garissa, seeking to unite, and bring together various communities in the region, to vote as one, for Jubilee government.
On May 1, he hosted dinner for the Adan Gheri sub-clan of the populous Abdwak Clan during his 11th Town Hall meeting.
They charted the way forward on mobilising all the 35,000 Abdwak voters in Township out of the 55,000 registered voters, in order to triumph in the August general election.
"They affirmed their total support and commitment to my leadership. They also pledged in rallying behind President Uhuru Kenyatta and the entire Jubilee County leadership,'' Duale said after the meeting.
They were led by their Elder Sheikh Yakub, MCA Saka and Hon. Arab.
Before, during his 10th Town Hall community meeting, Duale had a constructive engagement with opinion leaders from the Garre Community.
'They have overwhelmingly supported me in my entire political career,'' he said.
Former National Assembly Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim poses as a political threat to Duale's political career, given that he has vowed to ensure he clinches the Garissa Township parliamentary seat, from Duale.
Maalim is vying on a Wiper Democratic Movement - Kenya, ticket.
