Joshua Arap Sang was a household name among the Kalenjin radio-lovers because of his breakfast show Lenee Emet (loosely translated as what does the world say) at the vernacular radio station KASS FM.

His 'influence' behind the mic, however, landed him in trouble after he was on December 15, 2010, named among the masterminds of the 2007/08 Post Election violence alongside other five top politicians and civil servants.

According to the then prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Luis Moreno Ocampo, Sang had used his breakfast show to fan violence that was witnessed in some parts of Rift Valley after the disputed 2007 elections.

He denied the charges and on September 2015 was cleared of the charges alongside Deputy President William Ruto.

Back from the Haque-based court where he spent most of his time when his case was ongoing, Sang returned to his Seum rural village in Cherangany constituency where he ventured in Agriculture, implementing some of the dairy farming practices he learned from the Netherlands during his stay there.

With the criminal charges at the ICC out of his way, Sang tried his luck in the political scenes in last years general elections when he vied for the Trans Nzoia gubernatorial seat but lost in the Jubilee party primaries.

Since his failed attempt in politics, the former Radio broadcaster has taken a low profile in the public limelight.

He has however been active on social media platforms and recently posted a photo of him participating in the 10 kilometers for the Race of Heart to Heart Foundation.
