After exposure, Pastor Kanyari disappeared from the limelight as he fell out with most of his church members with a majority of them leaving his church.

He accused the media of his woes and noted that he was never given the chance to explain his part of the story.

He was forced to reduce his church services to Sundays only after most of his church members decamped after the exposure.

It was during this time that Kanyari also parted ways with his wife Betty Bayo.

Kanyari then resurfaced in 2017 when he announced his interest to vie for Embakasi Central MP seat under the Jubilee ticket before dropping his ambitions.

The ‘fake’ pastor disappeared again at the end of 2017 before appearing in a number of dailies accused of being involved in a cult and Illuminati.

Kanyari lately is active on social media posting photos of his lavish lifestyle, his mansion, cars and a church full of worshipers.

He recently February 2018 posted a picture of himself flaunting several thousands of money in his Instagram page. He further posted a photo of himself outside a Porsche mansion with the background having a Range Rover doors wide open.

On the comments on his Instagram page, he threatened to block anyone who tried to comment anything negative about him.
