Online retailer Jumia will sell a 2kg packet of maize flour for Sh45 between July 3 and 9, in a deal that will see buyers get a 50% discount. The online retail store has partnered with Tuskys Supermarket to make the offer, which will be part of the activities marking the Jumia Anniversary Week. Maize flour is very scarce in many parts of the country, with buyers being forced to buy other commodities being being allowed to purchase one packet of ‘unga’. A 2kg package of the rare commodity is retailing at Sh90 — after subsidies from the government. The offer will only be for the Soko maize flour brand.
