Main market

The Eldoret main market has the highest population consisting of traders, customers and street children which means security should be a matter of concerns there. Every resident roaming around these regions have their own intentions to achieve before twilight knocks. Some with the intention of selling, buying, and some shopping from waste disposed of (rotten fruits, bananas, and eggs) by the traders in the market. Robbers will always target a crowded place and snatch you off your wallet unknowingly and disappear without your knowledge.

 Main stage

The place consists of a large number of vehicles, travelers, and conductors. Conductors are always at a blast of targeting luggage from customers with convincing language to board their vehicles hence they can disappear with your luggage. Sometimes they go an extra mile of pulling someone's clothes to almost tearing them apart. Be cautious walking around these place.

West Market

It is a kilometer from the town's Central Business District (CBD) along Eldoret Uganda road. Most of the residents who want cheap and unique ‘Mutumba’ outfits will troop to these market to dress to kill. With the place getting crowded that much poses a risk of being robbed.

Along Uganda road

This place is located opposite the Uasin Gishu county headquarters. It is popular with begging girls with babies on their backs always drawing sympathy from residents. These begging girls, if they are not sorted, can throw tantrums or rob you off if you are not careful. In spite of its location near Eldoret Central Police little has been done to address the issue.

Security of an individual is essential, if little will be done by the County Government of Uasin Gishu, the places remain a security threat to the life and property of the local resident. Take caution when walking in these places.
