[PHOTO/Kenya-today.com] Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Friday night led his Nasa coalition to the Supreme Court registry where they filed a 25000-page petition which seeks to annul the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta. In the next two weeks, a battery of experienced Nasa lawyers will be fighting tooth and nail in order to convince the 7 Supreme Court judges that the August 8 presidential poll was a 'sham' and, therefore, should be nullified and a fresh one conducted. But, without sounding pessimistic, what happens if after all is said and done, all or the majority of the Supreme Court judges maintain that the election was free and fair and, therefore, Raila should 'accept and move on?' Well, Raila will have at least five options to choose from.First, he can decide to follow the 2013 path, concede. In 2013 Raila said that though he respected the court's ruling, he didn't agree with it. He then went ahead to concede defeat. Similarly, this time round he can as well decide for the sake of peace and future of the country, he won't pursue the matter further.Second, and this is an option he hasn't kept off the table, he can call for mass action. On Wednesday when Raila made the so-called 'big announcement', he didn't shy away from reminding the Supreme Court that if it 'misbehaves' like in 2013, Nasa has 'other options'. Apparently, mass action is among these 'other options'.Third, Raila can decide to 'let it go' but remain politically active awaiting 2022. Who said that Raila will be senile in 2022 that he can't vie for presidency? He will just be 77-year old! Quite young compared to Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe whom at 93 years, has been endorsed by his ZANU-PF party to be its presidential candidate in the country's March, 2018 polls.Fourth, Raila can decide, well, I think I have done enough for these 'ungrateful' Kenyans, it is time I hung my political boots. In short, he can opt for a peaceful retirement away from public limelight. Finally and perhaps unlikely, he can opt to join 'my younger brother Uhuru Kenyatta' and have Uhuru appoint him in his cabinet. It is obvious that Uhuru would readily embrace the idea of having Raila in his government. It would be irresistible for Uhuru if Odinga approached him with the idea. This would mean a more united and cohesive Kenya and perhaps, why Uhuru has been extending the 'hand of friendship and peace to our worthy competitors'.

Which way for Raila if the Supreme Court on September 1 confirms Uhuru's victory?
