It's minutes to 6pm. School vans are dropping kids. Outside a rental house where a one-bedroom unit goes for Sh13000 a month, a cute brown girl with silky hair is seeing off a man. His pair of pants looks crumpled. The girl moves closer to the man, in his fifties, whispers something and plants a warm hug before she melts and shuts the gate behind her.
The man, a bit smitten after the soft hug, gets into his car, switches on the ignition key and speeds off.
This writer follows on the beautie, she has a nice house, the bulb is on (no pun intended) but she flatly rejects an interview.
That is White House estate for you.
Located along the Nakuru-Solai road, the place has become the perfect hide out for sponsors to tuck away their side chicks.
Out of five cute girls living here, four survive on sponsors.
It is one place where even life has become expensive compared to other areas. This is because these girls are well loaded, I mean, they cruise with guys carrying fat wallets.
"If your girl stays here, chances are she swings it with a sponyo," Carol, who used to work at a popular club along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway told this writer.
We used to tease her everytime we went to her joint to take two bottles of white cap each.
But those days are gone. She bumped into a sponyo and her life changed overnight.
"I moved from a single (room) in Mawanga to this place, masponsor wako sawa," she said, amid a naughty chuckle.
That is the trend at White House. And it has come with its blessings as landlords have hiked their rent without complaints, food joints are also expensive.
Even mama mboga can afford to sell her stuff at a relatively higher price and no one complains.
One caretaker said many of the girls spend their day time with sponsors - many who are married men and cannot be away from their families at night.
This leaves the girls with lots of time to party at night and take home young guys.
And that is why you can still find a mat to this place even at 12 am!
Here it is woman eat man society, haha
Now you know, if you don't have a fat wallet, White House is not your place . . . tembeza kiatu!
