[Photo/The Star]Just a day after Laikipia North MP Matthew Lempurkel claimed that his life is in danger after receiving threatening messages from an unknown number, the MP has yet again claimed that all white people in the county will be driven out if Raila Odinga wins the August 8, polls.
"When Raila takes this leadership we will make sure all wazungu go to their homes," Lempurkel said.
Lempurkel also claimed that a white man has even approached him and surrender his farm because he has heard the wind that if Odinga wins they will be driven out of their ranches.
"He told me, 'Lempurkel come and take this land because I no longer need it' and I told him 'just wait until Raila takes the presidency," he said.
"On August 8, things will fall apart for the Jubilee government."
In a video reportedly seen by The Star, the MP has been recorded asking Morans to drive out Turkana and Agikuyu out of power.
"Moran, please let us come together because Turkana and Kikuyu are coming to take our leadership. If they take our leadership we, as a family of my mother, will be finished," he said.
Lempurkel has, however, denied claims of being behind raids on private ranches and other kinds of violence in Laikipia.
The MP is not new to controversy, in 2016 he was charged with incitement to violence and released on Sh500,000 bond or Sh300,000 cash bail.
