Aden Bare Duale was born in 1969 in Balambala constituency in Garissa County. He hails from the Abdulwak people of the Talamoge sub-clan, which makes part of the larger Ogaden clan.

Duale started school in 1975 at Boystown Primary in Garissa in 1975 and later joined Garissa High School in 1982 before shifting to Moi Forces Academy, Nakuru in 1986. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Education Degree from Eldoret's Moi University and also an Executive MBA from JKUAT.

The ardent Jubilee die hard supporter is famous for the "Pesa si ya Mamako" quote, where he is on record tirelessly working against the opposition's Okoa Kenya referendum push that has since been discarded. Duale has been vocal in criticizing the push by governors to have more services and funds devolved to the county level.

On the darker side of life, Duale stands accused over a land-grabbing case and nepotism, while at least one of his family members has been linked to terrorism. He remains accused of grabbing a parcel of land reportedly owned by Garissa Primary School, where he has already erected a four-storey building named as Lillac Centre.

On his political future, the Garissa township legislator has indicated that he will stand to defend his legislative position come 2017.
