Not many Kenyans know about Farouk Kibet, a member of Deputy President Ruto's tightly-knit inner circle and tasked with managing the diary of Kenya's second in command.
His name came up during the National Youth Service (NYS) sh 791 million scandal during Ann Waiguru's short-lived tenure as Cabinet Secretary.
There were calls for him to be made to appear before a parliamentary committee probing the NYS saga but those calls were never heeded.
Mr Kibet appears not to suffer from the crave for the limelight given that he has not been in the news often.
