John Opore is a Kenya politician, who was born on January, 8 1947.
He was first elected to represent Bonchari constituents in the National Assembly in 1997-2002 and 2002-2007.
In 2007 general election, Opore lost his seat to Charles Onyancha.
Opore served as the assistant minister in the ministry of information and communication from 1997-2000.
Opore is a University of Nairobi economics graduate having graduated in the year 1978.
He obtained an MSc in Economics from the University of Bradford in the UK in the year 1982.
He was a member of ford people from 2002-2007.
In 2014, was elected as Bonchari MP in a by-election where he defeated John Oyioka.
In 2017, the soft spoke politician vied for the MP seat again on a Jubilee ticket but lost to John Oyioka.
Opore currently has filed an appeal before a Kisumu court seeking the court to nullify John Oyioka’s after Kisii High court upheld his win during the last year’s polls.
He wants the court to nuulify Oyioka’s win and order for a by-election.
Opore is among President Uhuru Kenyatta’s point men from the Gusii region.
