According to the leaders of the group, the Kisii Unity is an ideal which was shared by many for the purpose of uniting the community and everyone is an equal stakeholder .

The aim of the group is to empower the Kisii socially, culturally, politically and most importantly economically and also an ultimate objective is to transform the entire Kisii landscape for sustainable development.

The mission of the group is to provide a platform for the empowerment of Omogusii wherever the members of the community reside.

The Vision is to unify and empower Omogusii along cultural, educational, social, political and economic lines for sustainable development.

The formation of this group will also help the Abagusii, like other communities in Kenya who faces a lot of challenges relative to leadership, governance, and development against ever growing demands from the impoverished populace.

Hence they need to come together and speak with one voice in order to benefit economically and politically from a large number of votes that the Kisii community has.

Through that, they will identify a “vehicle “through which the Kisii community can have a voice more so on how to get a share in the nation resource allocations.

The group is currently lead by Senator  Chris Obure as the chairman ,MP Jimmy Nuru Angwenyi Vice, Joash Maangi  Secretary and MP Richard Tong'i Coordinator among others.
