Stephen Mutinda Mule is the Member of Parliament for Matungulu Constituency, Machakos County. He was elected to the 11th Parliament on Wiper party ticket in the March 2013 elections.
However, aspirants who lost in the race filed a petition challenging his victory and he once again won several months later after a hotly contested by-election.
In the eleventh House, Stephen Mule is a committee member on Catering and Health Club, and Departmental Committee on Health matters, positions that he has since served since his reelection in November 2013.
According to Mzalendo online, Stephen Mutinda Mule has spoken 267 times in Parliament since the time he was sworn in.
Matungulu constituents remember Mutinda for his dedicated services to the electorate, but critics will remember the legislator for donating over size shoes to primary school students in the constituency.
It was a great embarrassment to his demeanour, especially on the fact that he is a renown Human rights Crusader in Kenya and across the world.
Hon Mule is one of the legislators whose 2017 campaigns remain uncertain owing to the huge number of aspirants that are swiftly gaining popularity on the ground.
For instance, the 2013 election losers like Thomas Malinda Musau, Stephen Muli Ndambuki, John Makenzi and the former MP Moffat Maithya are warming up to snatch the seat come 2017.
However, Mule has already hinted on vying for the same seat under the Wiper party despite the many aspirants interested in the same position.
