Despite remaining mum for several hours after the accident happened, the musician, Charles Kanyi Njagua, finally spoke and it has not gone well with those who follow him on his Facebook account.Jaguar penned this terse message on Facebook;"It is with grief that I share this post today. As it is now public, I was involved in a car accident. Sadly, lives were lost in the incident.It isnt any ones will to wake up and be involved in an accident such as this.My heart felt condolences to the families and friends of those affected. I would like to assure all concerned that due process of the law is being followed to amicably resolve this.I pray God grant strength to the families affected as we all go through this trying moment.Lastly, lets avoid confrontational remarks in consideration to the pain it is causing the bereaved families.Be well.”During a rally in Ziwani when he was popularising his candidacy for Starehe MP, a man was killed through mob justice. This was after he allegedly stole from someone in the crowd.The Kigeugeu hit maker acknowledges that the Range Rover Sport car, KCB 808J hit two men Joseph Maingi and Mugo Abdalla who were riding on a motorbike, killing them on the spot along the Makutano – Sagana highway.

According to witnesses, the car was being driven by a lady at the time of the accident. She was driving from Sagana heading to Makutano while the two dead motorists were headed to Sagana. The Star reports that the two deceased were almost joining the highway when the car hit them. The two men fell on one side while the motorbike they were using was thrown in the opposite direction in the 3:00 pm accident.

Despite Jaguar’s assertions that he was driving the car, details regarding the car chassis number SALWA2KE1EA323849 and engine number no: 306DT show that it is owned by Wamuyu Wanjiru Everlyne.Those at the accident scene claim that Jaguar arrived at around 3.30pm on the same day and told onlookers at the accident scene that he was the one driving the vehicle. 

According to the publication, eyewitnesses insisted it was the lady who was driving the car. The car was towed to the Sagana police station and the lady and Jaguar left as well.Claims have emerged that the story changed completely thereafter even leading to Mugo’s parents being denied access to the vehicle that killed their son. Jaguar is known for his philanthropic acts. He was a board member at NACADA before he left to pursue his political career.The lady driver remains a mystery.
