The Mashemeji Derby kicks off at 3pm today.

Kenya’s most popular and two biggest football clubs, Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards, will face off at the Nyayo National Stadium in the SportPesa Premier League.

It has never been business as usual when these two clubs meet.

Thousands of supporters donning Ingwe and K’Ogalo colours are expected to throng Nyayo stadium in Nairobi to witness the biggest football clash in Kenya’s football league.

Gor Mahia are currently second on the KPL standings with 16 points, five points below league leaders Posta Rangers. They have playes eight matches, compared to Rangers’ nine.

Leopards on the other hand are sixth with 14 points from eight matches.

Only two pints separate the two old rivals. Gor will be looking to maintain their lead over Ingwe, while the Leopards will be seeking to leapfrog the former KPL champions in the standings.
