The ups and downs have been full of toughness, hardship and difficulties. Throughout the year many people have lost their lives and they are no longer alive to narrate about 2017.
With a sad last day( 31st December), 2017 has accumulatively consumed the lives of a hundreds of people. This ominous year has got roads and bullets finishing innocent human beings. Besides, many have got their body parts chopped off, disabled and physically challenged in 2017.
Bitterly, one last morning of 2017 gets away with the lives of at least 36 lives. This increases the number of those who have died from accidents in the month of December alone to more than one hundred deaths. Unknowingly these individuals saw 2018 a distance far away but never accessed the privilege of being there.
The year has been full of activities, seriousness and a number of events. Being an election year in Kenya, 2017 has taken the consiousnes of many Kenyans to politics, a divisive and hata triggering sector. It is in 2017 when the fear of tribal crises heightened to levels only God lowered.
Many road accidents have taken place in different places within a short period of time, leaving many worried and exclaimed; "What an ominous year!" Some escaped death by a whisker, a reason to glorify and praise God for taking them to this far ending of 2017.
Truly, everyone has a reason to give thanks to God for getting him or her successful throughout 2017; and ask for a blessed and prosperous New year 2018.
