A man in Kisumu County has sold his two acres of land to campaign for the reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta. Ochieng Odongo has raised Sh200,000 from the sale of his land, but still needs Sh100,000 to raise his target to mount a thorough campaign for President Kenyatta. Mr Odongo is doing this to thank the President for saving his life from the hangman’s noose, after he was sentenced to death. “I am not doing this to gain favors from him,” Odongo told The Standard. He hopes to help the President get 3,000 votes from Kisumu. He was serving at the Nakuru Main Prison over a 2001 robbery with violence crime.
