On Saturday, Budalangi Member of Parliament Ababu Namwamba declared his support of president Uhuru Kenyatta's presidential reelection come August this year.
Ababu is a former ODM Secretary General before he quit and joined Labour Party. The High Court has barred him from being the party leader for a time and hence he is currently party less.
When Hon. Ababu quit ODM, it was clear he would support Jubilee leadership. It was even rumored that he was bought by Deputy President William Ruto.
The duo are long term friends from high school as they grew up together in Kapsabet. Even his new party is rumored to belong to the deputy president.
So his move to support Jubilee directly and publicly is not news as it was expected. Had he declared his support to someone else, then maybe it would have been news.
