 The two leaders argue that they do not regret snubbing Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga, now NASA Presidential candidate to back the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The duo has called upon the Luhya community to turn up in large numbers, and vote for the current leadership to be part of the government after August.

 “This election is not just about Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta or NASA and Jubilee, but the future of the Luhya nation,” Wamalwa said. 

Namwamba, for his part said that Wamalwa made the right choice to join the ruling party, which made him to follow suit. “Where Eugene and I are is where the future of this region is”. Namwamba said.

 Namwamba fell out with Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga after he accused him of betrayal. The lawmaker, who is among the most influential leaders from the community, has been launching attack after attack against the leaders of the opposition.  Namwamba is defending his post in August elections.
