Agriculture is believed to be the backbone of an economy of a certain county or country.
Where agricultural production is low the economy of the county is believed to be going down too.
For the economy of a county to run smooth agriculture should be considered, not so with the government of Garissa.
Garissa has river tana crossing their border, which during the rainy season troubles farmers resulting from it breaking its banks.
This result's in most of the farm produce getting stuck in there and rot.
This may also result in the collapse of the whole farm.
Small crops like tomatoes are hard to be found during this time, since they easily get destroyed by the water making the community to bring in from other counties.
The drainage system should be considered in order to stop this farms from getting destroyed.
Another problem that fails the agricultural sector in Garissa are the unworthy roads.
This makes the goods un-transportable.Farmers are not able to transport their goods outside to other counties.
Farm produce get stacked in the mud for days resulting in the rot of the produce which results in losses.
Also, un-cooperating agricultural officers also fail the agricultural sector in Garissa.
They are nowhere to be found on the farms so that they could at least educate the people on how?
When? to do the farming since most of the people in the community are not educated.
