Speaking during an interview on Radio Jambo on Thursday evening, Andati hailed Trump's 'America First' mode of operation, faulting Uhuru for allegedly entertaining foreign influence and putting foreigners' interests before those of Kenyans. He cited cases where foreigners have been given contracts to construct roads and bridges, calling for a change of tact.''Rais sasa itabidi afanye kazi kama Trump na aseme Kenya kwanza ili Wakenya wafurahie (the President, just like Trump, must now give the nation the first priority and satisfy his own people first),'' he said.On the rising corruption levels and ongoing graft probes, Andati noted that Uhuru risks not leaving a good legacy upon his retirement in 2022. He urged the Head of State to maximise on the fact that he is on his last term to fight the menace, observing that he doesn't have anything to lose as he is already out of the 2022 election equation."Yeye hatafuti urais tena na ni wakati wake wa kufunga watu sasa. La sivyo, ile ajenda yake ya Big 4 pia haitafaulu kwa sababu ya ufisadi unaoendelea (He is no longer in the presidential race, this is his time to jail corrupt individuals, failure to which his Big 4 agenda will fail),'' he added.
