Irate youths on Wednesday pelted Kisumu Central MP Ken Obura's vehicle with stones, accusing him of betrayal.
Obura also had to flee Kondele and Kibuye markets where he was set to sensitise the residents on the ongoing mass voter registration, the Nation reported.
According to the youths, the legislator is allegedly supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee Party, despite being an ODM MP.
In a quick rejoinder after the incident, Obura attributed his woes to his political competitors, accusing them of hiring youths to disrupt his political meetings.
"My rivals who are new in politics are only trying some games on me. I want to see if they will sustain the disruption of my activities," he said.
