Central Organisation of Trade Unions Secretary General Francis Atwoli is not happy with former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.
Atwoli, on Sunday said the former Ikolomani MP is fighting a political 'war' that is too strong for him to win but has continue to chest-thumb that he will emerge victor.
Khalwale is among leaders who have vehemently resisted attempts to amend the Constitution to create more government positions ahead of the 2022 polls.
Atwoli who has drummed up support for the Constitutional amendments said Kenya needs an expanded government that is all inclusive to end perennial fighting that always comes after every presidential election.
"I was listening the other day to Dr Boni Khalwale my own cousin from Western," the trade unionist said during a church service along Nairobi's Jogoo Road.
"He was saying that 'we will not accept the amendment to the Constitution, we will stand up and we will defeat it'."
He added: "You wanted to become the governor for Kakamega and you were defeated, how will you gather the strength to defeat the amendment of the Constitution? [Makadara MP George] Aladwa, tell your people to think twice otherwise they will continue to remain behind."
On Sunday Khalwale called on Deputy President William Ruto to join the opposition and resist the proposed amendment which political analysts claim is aimed at neutralizing the DP at the 2022 poll.
