Lack of good moods

Lack of sexual intercourse can completely interfere with one's moods. Given that sexual intercourse brings what is called sexual connection, a sexual connection can help regulate each other's moods. This is facilitated by the release of the feel-good hormone oxytocin responsible for comfort that is caused by skin-to-skin contact during sex.

Loss of sex desire

Lack of sex reduces sex desire. According to sex therapists, Sari Cooper, when some people refrain from sex they begin to feel more sluggish, with less vitality and hunger for sex. The scenario is described as 'out of sight, out of mind.'

Weakening vaginal walls

This is yet another problem facing women going through menopause. The more a woman going through menopause refrains from having sex the more the virginal walls grow thinner. Thin vaginal walls can lead to pains when one eventually get's back to sex. Having regular sex can help reduce such pains.

Loss of lubrication

In most cases, this problem is common with older women approaching menopause though it does happen in some young women as well. When a woman goes for long without having sex the vagina tend to struggle in an attempt to lubricate itself when one starts having sex. Older women do experience this due to lack of oestrogen hormone.

Therefore, one should engage in sex more often if they are not ready to go through the above.
