Body shaming is a cruel reality that exists and sometimes justified by some people.

Persons can attack each other on the basis of birth defects, disabilities, weight and physical anomalies.  The disturbing matter is when people make careless comments and state that they're not being personal and just stating facts.

I strongly differ! A person's body is as personal as it gets reinforced by the fact that it's the only body they get from birth to death.

How can you attack the only body one has and expect them not to make it personal?  I'm not against people correcting other people. Not at all!

Some people let themselves go and as their fellow human beings it's our duty to remind them to take care of their bodies.

However, how you deliver a message is just as important as the message itself.

So hurling insults, attacks and embarrassing an individual doesn't help them solve the problem.  Some physical 'setbacks' are permanent.

It's therefore cruel to attack someone on this basis.

Making fun of someone's ears, knees, hands, body type or complexion is simply inhumane.

Bodies are quite fragile so you wouldn't be sure if your body would be vulnerable to any 'setback' in the future.

It won't feel so nice when people are calling you bald-headed, saggy skin or acne face in a few years.  There are some physical attributes that a person can change. This could be weight, mild cases of acne, smoothness of skin and whiteness or structure of teeth after cosmetic attention. It still doesn't give you a right to attack those dealing with it.  Let's be more sensitive with comments we make about each other's bodies. If you have to take issue, do it respectfully.  Constant attacks and ridicule can plunge overweight people into depression.
