This follows an audio clip believed to be of Duale's voice, asking youth in Garissa to evict Kenyans of Kamba community from the Constituency, and be prevented from registering as voters, ahead of August 8, polls.

Boinnet said competent detectives from the CID were conducting investigations to ascertain the original person in the audio clip, where it was recorded, when, and by who.

In an interview on one of the local television stations, Boinnet declined to mention Duale's name, saying he could not speculate and link anyone to anything without proof.

"Investigations are ongoing by competent officers. I can't say the voice or audio is of Jimmy or John without proof. I don't base on hear-say. My position allows me to say things with proof and after thorough investigations,'' Boinnet said, Sunday evening.

He added that police would not relent to 'pounce' on any Kenyan with tendency of inciting the public, regardless of their position in the society.

The National Assembly Majority Leader has since dismissed the allegations, saying the voice in the clip was not his.

According to him, the audio clip was recorded by a 'bygone' era politician with intentions to cook stories and stain his political career for selfish reasons and political propaganda.
