NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has asked the Mt Kenya region to vote him in the August 8 elections since he backed and helped get Mwai Kibaki to the State House in 2002.
Accompanied by Embu ODM chairman Moses Wamuuru and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula, Raila told the Kikuyu community that he does not hate them as claimed by a section of politicians.
“If I hated the Kikuyus, would I have endorsed Kibaki in the 2002 General Election? I knew he was a Kikuyu, but because I love Kikuyus, I decided to endorse him and he won,” he said as quoted by the Star.
He was speaking in Ruyenyenjes town where he was welcomed by crowds.
Raila added that the projects President Uhuru Kenyatta has been commissioning this year are purposed to hoodwink Kenyans to reelect him.
