[Photo|Daily Nation]The chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Wafula Chebukati says he is ready for criminal investigations against his team following the fresh presidential elections.This is after he invited that Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko, asking him to launch investigations and prosecute them for any criminal acts that may have been made by him or his staff during the October 26 election.“We invite your office to undertake apt investigations on the allegations to ascertain the veracity of the allegations and subsequently institute criminal prosecution of any of the officials found culpable,” Chebukati's letter to Tobiko reads in part.He made the request to Tobiko following allegations of anomalies in the election by a section of civil society groups, under the Kura Yangu, Sauti Yangu umbrella."I confirm our commitment to cooperate to expedite the investigations," he added.
