Coast Jubilee Party legislators have accused Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi for stifling development in their counties.
The leaders claimed that Kingi and Joho have performed dismally and have poor academic credentials.
They claimed that the duo has misplaced priorities hence should be smoked out of office in the next general election.
Speaking in Mtwapa, Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro and businessman Suleiman Shahbal said that Joho and Kingi do not deserve another term in office since they have failed the people in their respective regions.
“We shall be doing an injustice to ourselves and the heroes of this country, if we re-elect them,” said Shahbal, as quoted by The Star.
Mungaro noted that over Sh51 million has gone missing in Kilifi County thus Kingi cannot be trusted to hold any office in future.
Shahbal, who has expressed interest in the Mombasa gubernatorial seat, said the coastal city has become a partying county.
This comes after Joho hosted a series of international artists including Diamond Platnumz, Ali Kiba and American artiste Chris Brown.
The outspoken politician rubbished the governor’s effort to construct cabro roads in the county, saying he should concentrate on creating jobs for the people of Mombasa.
