Comedian and radio presenter Jalang’o will be appearing in court on Tuesday after buying a car from a conman.
Speaking on a morning show at H0t 96 FM, the comedian said that a man called Japheth had sold him a Mazda Demio at Sh650,000 but he was not issued with a log book, which the man promised to give him.
“I took a Mazda Demio (and) asked him where is the log book (and) he told me that you would hold a bit of the money because he was selling it at Sh650,000 so I gave him Sh500,000 and told him immediately you get the log book I will give the rest,” narrated Jalang’o adding that he later finished the payment without receiving the log book.
Unlikely, the car did not belong to Japheth but to a woman who called the comedian demanding for the car and even threatened him.
“I had to go to the police to record a statement at Muthaiga police,” said Jalang’o adding that the case was registered in Rongai where he will be appearing in court.
He added that he has the car at home but he is not willing to surrender it unless he is refunded the money.
