Reportedly, Cord leaders now want some 'foreign experts' to come in and help them pick their presidential candidate.

Whether it is mistrust among the Cord co-principals or it is that they can't agree on a local process to decide who among them becomes the flagbearer is debatable. But one thing is clear, Cord's obsession with foreigners has no equal.

To show Cord’s penchant for foreigners running Kenya, they wanted Jacob Juma's murder investigated by America's FBI and Britain's Scotland Yard.

Juma was murdered in April this year and some Cord leaders and supporters went wild calling for the involvement of foreign detectives in the case. They believed that local police could not be trusted to uncover what they believed was an assassination which involved senior government officials.

Secondly, when Cord started to push for the disbandment of IEBC early this year, they had initially wanted a United Nations body to supervise the elections. Whether they will agree to a new IEBC that's is still under discussion, remains to be seen.

When President Obama visited Kenya, word on the streets was that Cord wanted Obama to put pressure on President Uhuru Kenyatta's government to agree to a national dialogue. Obama, however, disgraced them at Kasarani Stadium when he revealed what they were hatching against Uhuru's regime and asked them to respect the government in power.

Cord leader Raila Odinga’s obsession with foreign media is unmatched also. He has severally been accused of washing Kenya's dirty linen before the eyes of the ever critical western media. A case in point is when DP William Ruto's ICC case was dropped by the court. Raila went amok from East to West disapproving the ICC's move. This even left his supporters questioning his patriotism to his motherland.

Finally, Cord now wants foreign experts to help them pick their presidential candidate. It remains to be seen what other incidence or circumstance Cord will call for the so called 'foreign experts' to be involved, but for now, their obsession for foreigners remains unrivalled.
