Suspended Public Service Principal Secretary (PS) Lilian Omollo is still admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), Anti-Corruption court was told on Tuesday.
Through her lawyers, the court was informed that the PS could not attend the Tuesday bail ruling session since she was not stable.
Omollo’s lawyer told court that her client was to undergo a minor procedure after she fell ill last week hours after being arraigned to court to answer to charges of corruption.
“My client is ill and I request court orders to have her transferred to a better health facility,” the lawyer told Anti-corruption Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti.
To ascertain whether the PS is indeed admitted at the hospital, the court ordered CID detectives to confirm and report.
The court however declined to order for Omollo's transfer to another facility.
The court ruled that the PS is now under the Prison department and that she will be taken to facilities as per the prison procedures.
Omollo is among 43 NYS suspects who were charged with corruption offenses relating to the Sh 9 Billion NYS scam.
The PS fell ill last week after being taken to the Lang'ata women’s prison moments after attending court.
Last week, Omollo denied ten counts of corruption-related offenses.
On Tuesday, the court denied Omollo and other 43 suspects bond or bail and will remain in remand until their trial is concluded.
