[Photo|zipo]The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) sent an invitation to Deputy Chief Philomena Mwilu, to open its Legal Week, which kicked off, Monday in Nairobi. However, she did not show up for the event, despite being the chief guest.According to an official from the LSK, Mwilu received the invitation but confirmed that she would not participate, due to other commitments, a move that saw the Isaac Okerro-led organisation seek services of the chairperson of the National Legal Aid Services Board, Nazima Malik, to replace her. This year's theme of the legal awareness week is "Safeguarding Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms through Improved Law Enforcement" with the event kicked off September 25 - September 29.
