Politicians from both divides have been making surprise moves following the nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win by the Supreme Court.
Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka would have committed political suicide if he opts to leave the National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate, Raila Amolo Odinga ahead of the rerun. Jubilee is a full house. The Ukambani political kingpin will not get a great deal if he decides to call it quits with the Former Prime Minister.
Kalonzo has to stick with Raila to end the end with the hope that he backs his presidential dream whether he ascends to power or not. The former Vice President will have to wait longer to become a president he joins the ruling party. Deputy President William Ruto has already hatched a plot to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta. The Wiper Leader will have to wait for 15 years to become a president. The son of Ukambani is not getting younger either.
He has to fight hard to ensure that he is on the ballot box in 2022. The former education minister would also have tainted his stellar political career is he makes such a u-Turn. Many have also considered him a watermelon, a tag he has fought for years. The politician has to maintain his stand to end up for the sake of his future.
