Divorce is a word that most of us are uncomfortable using with regard to our own marriages. No one gets married and then anticipates a divorce.
Marriage is meant to be for better or worse. However, the truth is that divorce is becoming a reality in our society.
Majority of us know one person or another who have experienced separation or is unfortunate in marriage perhaps heading for farewell. It’s a dejected state of concerns but we can’t be visionless to the fact that it’s happening.
It’s not a calm undertaking. Even worse when the children are younger because of its difficult for them to comprehend why the divorce happened in the first place. It takes time and courage for the parents to try and make this process as smooth as possible to the children.
Should the reasons for separation or divorce be irreconcilable, it would be best for parents to sit the children down and explain the underlying issue. Although there is a tendency for one parent to claim a higher moral ground, it’s best if the children are left out of the marital details.
Unless they are old enough to understand, leave them out of the picture. You will always be their parent no matter what, painting a bad picture on each other wouldn’t help solve anything.
