Deputy President William Ruto on Friday offered an apology to reidents of Western Kenya.

Speaking during a rally in Kakamega, Ruto said that he was sorry for guiding the locals into joining the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) back in 2007.

He said he was apologetic for campaigning on behalf of Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

 “When a hare was cornered one day, he said he will not blame the person who cornered him but the one who woke him up. Forgive me for taking you to ODM.Even though you have moved to NASA, I have come back to take you where it matters,” Ruto said.

The Deputy President was accompanied by former Funyula MP Paul Otuoma.

During the rally, Otuoma promised to gift Odinga a bull if President Uhuru Kenyatta fails to garner more votes in Busia County.

 “In August 8, Uhuru only managed 34,000 votes. If I don’t double those votes, I promise Raila a bull,” hesaid.
