Deputy President William will easily cruise to victory in 2022 elections regardless of [political dynamics in the country, says Gideon Mamboleo.
Even before the validation of President Uhuru Kenyatta by the Supreme Court, 2022 politics have started with a section of coastal leaders led by Hassan Joho vowing to be on ballot.
But despite of his long experience in politics, the DP is expected to meet stiff resistance from a section of politicians among them Gideon Moi, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka.
“Even without the backing of Central Kenya, he has already stamped his authority in Kenyan politics. It will be a different game with different players.
“He is a political schemer and the worst he can have is going for a rerun with someone else. I believe he will marshal a lot of support,” he further says.
Among those who have also shown interest include Peter Munya, William Kabogo on top of perennial contenders like Mudavadi and Musyoka.
The elections will take a different dimension following the expected exit from stage by Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta.
