Deputy President William Ruto has vehemently opposed the implementation of the Truth Justice and Reconciliation (TJRC) report.

Speaking on Tuesday in Kilifi, Ruto warned that the implementation of the report that seeks to ensure historical injustices resolved would cause more harm than good.

He cautioned the locals against electing NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, who, incidentally has been championing for the implementation of the critical report.

Ruto argued that should the report find its way to the public, it would open old wounds, and therefore causing more harm even as the country struggles to achieve nationhood.

“I’m asking you Kilifi residents, if we resort to this path, will we divide Kenyans or not?” He posed.

Earlier on in June, the DP had taken to his Twitter in a clear opposition to the report saying: “So Tinga [Raila] believes implementing TJRC means every legitimate land buyer should go back where they came from as a way of dealing with poverty.”
