Deputy President William Ruto has high chances of winning the 2022's presidential race. This is independent of whether Raila will stand on his side or on the other opponents side. The impunity in NASA is the greatest advantage for DP in realizing his dreams of becoming Kenya's fifth president.
The most anticipated for race, first, was cooled down by the unexpected Uhuru-Raila handshake that left many mouths waggling. Others, infact, went ahead to declare that there is no opposition in the country anymore but the anxious Alliance Party's Ekuru Aukot announced himself as the opposition leader.
The meeting of the top duo, Raila and Uhuru, is not only a comfort but also a good fortune for Ruto. Probably, if the 73-year old 'Baba' will not be in the race, he will be supporting his 'kitendawili' critic who they are assumed to be with in one political side - currently in the name of making peace and unity.
The evidenced Jubilee's tyranny of numbers in the parliamentary, gubernatorial and senatorial seats, itself, is a threat to DP Ruto's 2022 opponents. Thus, Raila's presence in supporting him is a bit negligible should the ODM's political father withdraw and renounce back to support his Nazarite co-principals; Kalonzo Musyoka or Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi.
Either, the DP's words in the previous campaigns that "Politics ni kujipanga" cannot be ignored. The duo Jubilee Party heads 'walijipanga kitambo" that's why they even snatched the top seat from Raila, who was in the government as the Prime Minister.
Besides, the competition to get the country's top seat will not be such stiff if NASA's Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka fall out to be independent in their respective parties. In fact, this will give DP Ruto's hope a sure bet and not a double change as it is in the current political atmosphere.
