I came across this picture of DP Ruto showing where he used to live back then in the 1990s and it hit me that at your 20s its okay to hit a few rocks here and there.

Here are three things to learn from this:

It's okay to dream big

Lets do some math, Ruto is 49 years old. In 1990 he was 24 years old and a nobody. Just a boy who had graduated with big dreams. Less than 25 years later he is the country's deputy president. He probably constructed that house at 29...so whats the transition?

In 20 years down the line, he has mansions in almost every town including a government one in the city.

The 20s is a formative period

What we learn from this is that your 20s is a period to lay your foundation because as you do this, you are building a skyscraper. How strong you lay it will determine how high you will go.

Life is all about hard work

Time and again we have heard and witnessed the deputy president's deeds and words. When he was Eldoret North MP, he did a lot and they reelected him time and time again.

He has been on record saying he was the best student at Chiromo University College, as Minister for Agriculture his docket ranked second. He is a great debater and you just have to go to YouTube to verify that.

And last but not least, he attracts masses in every political party he joins because of his confidence and never-say-die attitude.

Above all, he is a staunch follower of Christ. Hate or love him, Ruto's ife is just a motivation. Photo: Deputy President William Ruto. His life inspires and motivates/nation.co.ke
