Former Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim has rubbished the possibility of having an outside court settlement in his election case against Aden Duale.
The former Lagdera MP has maintained his stand, adding that he not engage majority leader Aden Duale in any talks outside the court.
“Anyone waiting for Maalim to solve his petition out of court will have to wait untill the hell freezes. Look at my political history,” Maalim tweeted.
Maalim a well known lawmaker filed his petition at the High Court to challenge Duale's victory in August 8 poll.
Maalim's aim is to overturn the National Assembly Majority leader 's win on basis that election were flawed.
He says that Duale was not elected with any validity, and that there were massive irregularities.
If Maalim will be able to prove all those anomalies, Duale is set to loose his seat, calling for fresh elections
Maalim wants an order from the court to the IEBC. IEBC shouldvbring forth election materials including voter registers,electronic device and counterfoils used for all polling station and any other equipment used during the elections.
